The 2017 MNTP Symposium entitled, “Advances in Health Neuroscience and Multimodal Neuroimaging” is open to the public, but registration is required.

The symposium will feature leading researchers conducting cutting-edge research on early life adversity and the developing brain, self-regulation, emotion, social cognition, quantitative modeling of brain function, and health neuroscience.

Symposium speakers include Luke Chang (Dartmouth College), Mauricio Delgado (Rutgers University), Lisa Feldman Barrett (Northeastern University), Margaret Sheridan (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), Peter Sterling (University of Pennsylvania), Moriah Thomason (Wayne State University), Thalia Wheatley (Dartmouth College), and Tal Yarkoni (University of Texas).

The MNTP will provide up to 14 travel awards to students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty from outside the Pittsburgh area to attend. Those who are selected to receive a travel award may receive up to $1,000 to help defray travel costs (original receipts are required for reimbursement). The MNTP will also provide 2 nights of lodging to awardees.
